The Suva Market is the larget retail produce market in the South Pacific. Situated just beside the Suva bus station, the market has vegetable stalls downstairs and Kava stalls upstairs.

A large variety of tropical produce is sold a the Suva Market. It has everything from fruits both local and imported, root crops, vegetables, seafood and spices. It is a great place for visitors to buy and taste the island's multicultural flavour. The market is always busy on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings.

The market atmosphere is friendly as well as chaotic with people chatting as they bargain with the sellers for the best price for the produce.

Suva is a popular destination for shoppers from all over Fiji and visitors to the islands from overseas. Shop for handmade Fijian handicrafts from the Government Handicraft Center or if you are ready to try your hand at bargaining visit the Municipal Handicraft Center. Another great place to shop is the Flea Market. Located just opposite the Suva Bus Station. It is a conveniently located market where cheap goods and food is the order of the day.

There are also a larger number of stores in the central part of Suva where you can buy almost anything you wish.

Shopping days are generally Monday to Thursday from 8am to 5pm, Fridays 8am to 6pm and Saturdays are from 8am to 1pm. Most stores and shops are closed on Sunday.

One of Fiji's most vibrant markets is located off Rodwell Road in Suva near the bus station. It is an great tourist attractions with everything on sale from large bundles of kava to local fruit and vegetables. Well worth the visit while you are in Suva.

Suva City has a number of retail stores and shopping centers in town. These retail outlets have basically all the items such as latest clothing, watches, perfume, handbags, shoes etc.
